The assets in Nevada Gold Mines include 10 underground mines and 12 surface mines as well as related facilities.
An extension of the Northern Nevada Railway through Cherry Creek was opened in 1906; however production from the area again faded by 1910 with some of the mines only operating at a very small scale. The Penns Star Mining Company built a flotation mill to process the sulphide ores that continued to process ores through to 1921.
