Summary. A thermodynamic description was optimized for the ternary Cu–Pb–Zn system applying literature experimental zinc activity and phase equilibrium data. All the six solution phases of the system, i.e., liquid, fcc, bcc, gamma ( γ ), hcp_A3 and hcp_Zn, were considered, describing them with the substitutional solution model.
